Commercial warehouse fit out
This was a commercial fit out and renovation of a derelict warehouse in the centre of Sheffield.
The old flat roof had been missing for quite some time and the building had been letting in water it had also been vandalised and all the electrical cabling etc stolen.
First of all the flat roof was stripped back to the original rafters and all the rubbish was removed from the inside.
The first job was to get the building water tight so the internal fit out could begin. The flat roof was constructed using steel sheeting under the plywood to prevent break ins, we have used this techniques on offices and off licences before. The roof was covered with bitumen and felt, a reflective paint was then painted on top of this to prolong the life of the felt roof. The roof was insulated and new white plastic fascia boards, vented soffit boards and black plastic guttering were installed. There were also repairs carried out to the concrete guttering system.
The inside was stripped of all the old plaster and new plasterboard was attached and skimmed.
There was a full rewire carried out on the 3 phase electricity system. There was data cabling and a top spec security and CCTV system installed.
All the old wooden windows and doors were replaced with UPVC and either protected by galvanised mesh or roller shutters.
Once the plaster had dried the offices were painted, new flooring laid and the electrics 2nd fixed.
There were new toliets and a kitchen installed.
The final job was to install retractable security posts in front the roller shutter doors.
