Garden Decking design
This was a full design and build garden landscaping project in Ecclesall Sheffield S11.
The customer had already had their garden paved 5 years ago. The paving had started to sink and move around due to a lack of sub base. They felt that it looked dull and it needed brightening up. They also needed a dedicated entertaining area and a way of getting to the raised area from the back patio doors.
We sat down and went through our previous portfolio of work and discussed various ideas and sketched a few out. the one you see is the one we settled on . It gave the customer a large entertaining space and also a low maintenance garden.
We built a decking area using 38mm x 125mm deck boards on a tanalised timber framework. The garden and raised fower beds were edged off using new tanalised railway sleepers to give the garden a nice chunky look and create different levels to plant in. The main area was covered in landscaping fabric and then pebbles. There was a curved garden path made from Indian stone cobbles bedded on full mortar beds the walls and steps were topped using the same indian stone to make it all match.
Finally we hand built a fence behind the decking area which really finished the garden off.
The overall look that was achieved really brightened the garden area up and the customer very impressed and pleased.
